Christmas Hat for Flute

Materials:-

• Worsted-weight yarn, Red & White colour
• D/3 3.25mm crochet hook                                                                 
• Yarn needle

Abbreviation Key:-

• sc = single crochet
• ch = chain
• sl st = slip stitch
• dec = decrease (join next 2 sts into 1)
• inc = increase (2 sc in next st)

Notes:-

• During the Christmas performance, I made this Christmas hat for my flute in the hope that "he" can feel the joyful day as well, and this my result, my  work. Gauze is not important – just keep maintain a consistent tension throughout the entire project.
• Crochet in a spiral. Use something to mark the first stitch of a round, and move it up as you work.
• “The Magic Circle” is use to start each piece. Alternative technique: ch 2, then sc x6 into the second chain away from the hook. Slip stitch to join the round. This creates Round 1.

Christmas Hat for Flute:-

Use Red colour yarn.

Round 1: Magic Circle with a base of 4 stitches

Round 2: sc in next 4 stitches = 4 sts

Round 3: (1 inc, sc in next st) x2 = 6 sts

Round 4: sc in next 6 stitches = 6 sts

Round 5: (1 inc, sc in next st) x3 = 9 sts

Round 6: sc in next 9 stitches = 9 sts

Round 7: (1 inc, sc in next 2 sts) x3 = 12 sts

Round 8: sc in next 12 stitches = 12 sts

Round 9: (1 inc, sc in next 3 sts) x3 = 15 sts

Round 10: sc in next 15 stitches = 15 sts

Round 11: (1 inc, sc in next 4 sts) x3 = 18 sts

Round 12-13: sc in next 18 stitches = 18 sts

Change yarn colour into White

Round 14-20: sc in next 18 stitches = 18 sts

Round 21: Fasten off and hide the tail

Benefits of Craft

As a learning activity, arts and crafts have traditionally been passed over in favour of more academic pursuit. But craft - particularly developmentally appropriate craft activities - can aid learning in other areas like language, music, art, social studies, science, maths, health and nutrition.

Craft allows kids to explore ideas or concepts and then express it by making something to keep , entertain others with or simply look at for visual pleasure.

• Enhance multicultural understandings
• Build self esteem
• Gain positive emotional responses to learning
• Engage through a variety of learning styles

Art and craft ideas encourage children to use their imagination to create their own entertainment. Making something on their own endows them with a confidence in their abilities to make individual decisions and choices.

Things to avoid when doing craft with your kids

Never force kids to complete a project they simply aren't interested in - all you will do is alienate them from ever trying craft again. Simply encourage them and reward them when they do finish something.

十月份的來臨，秋風瑟瑟，紅葉飄零。萬聖節的腳步聲漸漸地靠近，所有的金瓜怪，巫婆，妖魔鬼怪統統流連在商場里。在此，我獻上鉤針金瓜，希望能提供一絲絲的節日氣氛。

**在第6和8行之間縫上▼型鼻子的黃色毛線，位置在於兩眼之間。

***處理完至上事項後，往貓頭鷹的身體塞入人造棉。

第20行：剩下的24針，前後夾起來變成12針，只用短針鉤起來。 = 12針
